The 2017 Chardonnay was sourced from the Flanders Field block beside the Murringo Road. These vines were planted 28 years ago in 1990 and are producing wines of great complexity. It sees a return to using 20% Malolactic fermentation with 40% new French oak.
This wine has a lovely fresh peachy bouquet. The acid balance is naturally refreshing and with the malo influence the palate is superb and well rounded. This is a Chardonnay that is suitable to be drunk young and fresh or if you would prefer to be cellared for up to 10 years. Enjoy!
