TASTING NOTES
Shiraz has been excelling in Young for years. Grove Estate has joined
leading maker Clonakilla in establishing the credentials of the red volcanic
loams of the Hilltops district as a top Shiraz region.
The warm, dry 2007 vintage produced fruit of great colour and concentration.
The warm ferments benefited from the inclusion of whole bunches and a small
percentage of co-fermented Viognier.
Twelve months in French oak, 25% new has softened the wine and sharpened
the focus of the fruit. Aromas of blackberry and spice over cedary oak.
A medium to full bodied red with the substance to age well over the years.
